Messages given at a conference in York, October, 1962. Edited and supplied by the Golden Candlestick Trust with the exception of chapter 2 which was published in the "A Witness and A Testimony" magazine, May-June 1963, Vol 41-3..
It is possible to be full of Christian works without the Life and the Love being there. A lot of people are working tremendously hard in Christianity but there is something vital lacking, and it is just that that John was saying: "No, it is not the teaching, not the doctrine, not the theory, not even the works that you are doing; it is the mighty power of this Life registering, which you know in your own experience every day: His Life, His resurrection Life, in you, in me; that is the testimony." This is the testimony, this is the message.
