Many Christian things are routine - you go through the same routine all the time, you've brought it down to that; it's the way it's done, it's the form of things. Oh, God deliver us from the blighting, deadly effect of formality and make everything live! Now, we can't do that, mark you, by trying to be original and change things in order to get out of that difficulty. No, you can't do it that way. This is the burning Lamp of the Spirit. If the fire is not there, no methods or changed methods, or uniqueness, or singularity, or anything else can take its place. It's the fire of Life, the Life of the Spirit. How does the Lord ever meet a great need? What is that which will supply the need, and that which alone will supply it and be the key to the problem? The answer has ever been and always is: a new revelation of the greatness of Jesus Christ - an unveiling of His greatness. The revelation of Jesus Christ....
